DCMM Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) DCMM was founded in 2003, by Mike and Donna Kacmarcik, Jonathan and Carolyn Miller, Mark and Debbie Vaughn, Mike Whitley and John DeCrema. We started out with a very small group of about 15 members. We used a Yahoo site as a communications base for the new club. The Tortilla Factory, in Herndon VA, became our clubhouse. The first really big gathering we had was at The Dragon in the spring of 2003 for The MINI Mountain Hop, where we joined other MINI lovers for an informal weekend of motoring fun. Needless to say, we attracted quite the crowd in rural Robbinsville NC, which had never seen a MINI, much less the 25 that were parked at the Microtel. Since then we have grown into a robust club with regular activities and an active forum.
