  1. Thanks so much for hosting this tiny party Jamie :) I was great to hear you talking up your countryman, again, the stripes you added are awesome!!!

Sorry I booked it out of there so quickly when my car was finished, prego wife needed water and something to snack on....happy wife means I live another day ;)

No worries at all, I knew she and your son were waiting for you! It was so nice to meet all of you :)

  3. Ceramic tint + $40

is this worth it? Does anyone notice any interference with their technology gadgets and regular film? Is there any additional benefit of the Ceramic?

Apologies if this was answered elsewhere, I did try a search, but couldn't find anything on our forum... of course the websites where they're trying to sell you the stuff claim that it's necessary.

    Thoughts?

  4. Here's a link to the FAQ page on tint laws in this area:

    http://www.dcmetrominis.org/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_general_faq#faq_vb3_tint_laws

FYI, do you all know that this is a thing? http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/pdf/med20.pdf

*Medical waiver in VA that allows you to get 35% on all sides and 70% on upper 5" of front windshield. Basically you need your doc to sign off that you're subject to skin cancer (or God forbid have it, or some other eye sensitivity). Given my pasty white redhead skin, I'm thinking I might look into this!

  5. Ok we're at 8 cars, and going choose to 12 hours.

If anyone else wants in we can either start a wait list or someone else with a garage hosts. He has a 2 car minimum to come out

If you get a wait list, let me know... I have a 2 car garage and live right off Routes 66/28 & 29 where Chantilly/Centreville & Fairfax all meet.

*And if that's the case, then I'll move my time slot to Sunday (assuming he's still available then)

  6. Ali,

We should schedule a lunch break for Wardel. Otherwise he will likely have to work non-stop from morning to evening.

We definitely want to feed the man so that he doesn't pass out from exhaustion! ;)

  7. I would go to Odds and Ends (Sterling) and ask Darryl what he has. He's a vendor so gives club members discounts. If you don't have your membership card yet just have him text me and I'll confirm you.

Awesome! Thanks! I'll have to wait until next week to run there, so hopefully will have my new member info in hand ;)

I have 3 weddings to perform this weekend, so I'll be crazy busy until then :)

  8. It was so nice to meet you all! Thanks for making me feel normal when talking about what I want to do to my new baby and about stressing over him/her not having a name (I mean really, how can you name a car when you've not yet determined its sex???)

Apologies on not knowing that backing in was a thing, my bad... I shall comply in the future now that I know :)

    BTW, the vibe I'm getting is that he's a transgender male (or just effeminate) and I'm leaning towards;

Wolfie (as in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart because he was assembled in Graz, Austria, where my family is from!)

Jackie (because well, that can go either way and I just like the name)

orrrrr.... I could fly my Trekkie geek flag and go with Kamala who was the intuitive empath who became whatever her mate needed/wanted ;)

Given that I've not even driven 100 miles yet, I'm inclined to feel it out over the next few days/weeks before I decide.

FYI, he/she is a 2013 Lt Coffee Countryman base, manual with black roof and black seats (but a tan ceiling unlike Melissa's all black interior... so we're almost twins)
