    Of course the disclaimer is this is all dependent on weather. If the crossings are high like they were last year we will have to cancel. But I'm going to remain optimistic. Can't wait for MOTD!!!

     

    Wow...wish I could be there, especially for the Parsons Branch/Cades Cove run. Maul is ready for high crossings and some two tracks! :top: Would have been fun to shoot some photos too.

     

    Unfortunately, MOTD always coincides with Florida Police Week activities and since 2011 I having a standing commitment.

     

    Looking forward to the stories and photos!

    Hey - have you ever thought about getting black vinyl pieces made to imitate Darth Maul's face? That would look really cool. :biggrin:

     

    Thanks! I have red face stencil decals for the tinted rear quarter windows (see below) but have been waiting to get outfitted with vinyl on the body first.

    Here is my shoot from the Capital last night with Ali's Tigger providing the trail lights and Chris helping out with some flashes. Took it to try and win a Group4 ECU Tune on the Countryman Owner's Lounge Facebook page. Fingers crossed!

     

    Great photo!! Very Creative! I am a member on their FB page too. I will definitely look for your photo to vote on!

     

    I was scrolling through some of my old un-edited photos of Maul to see if any were worthy of submitting. Not feeling it after seeing yours and some of the others. LOL

    btw, I'm loving that beastly looking red one in all the pics. Looks like a baja pre-runner in the making!

    BTW...Cambo, thanks for noticing the newbie in the shot! That's my ride Mini Maul. I kept to one end or the other cuz Ali kept saying that it anchored the shot!?! LOL

    Good time this morning, even if it was a bit cold! Was great to see the various styles and mods on all the MINIs! You all have a nice group.

     

    Will share my photos from this morning with the group and submit my 2014 membership dues today.

     

    Looking for more opportunities to motor and photo with everyone. :top:

    You know since there are going to be a lot of banner type shots taken, no one will notice if your MINI is a little dirty

     

    It sounds like the snow will be OK in the morning

     

    LOL ... roger that.

     

    Will toss my camera, remote and monopod in the backseat in case there will be time to try some elevated WA shots.

    Just saw this. First weekend not traveling in a while and made a New Year's resolution to finally meet up with you all in 2014. So... I will drive out for the photos but will not make it thru till lunch.

     

    Park me somewhere behind the shiny clean cars, as Mini Maul is a mess!!!

    The channel is FRS channel 7, with sub-channel (or privacy code) 21.

     

    FRS radios will work, as will the GMRS radios made by Midland, Motorola, and others (most GMRS radios made today include the FRS channels).

    Unfortunately, I am out as I will have to work a portion of Saturday.

    Are the walkies your using on your runs the FRS band type? I still haven't unpacked everything from my move and can't find my old walkies.

     

    As far as still being a "Maybe"... Still trying to meet a deadline at work so I can make the trip. I should know by tomorrow morning, but no later than noon.

    New Forum Member here. Is it okay if I join up for this Saturday's run? I have spent a bunch of time running up and down Skyline for wildlife photos. Was just up there this Saturday and it was cool and nice out! Even renewed my Annual Park Pass, so yeah I am ready to go back.

    I got two awesome waves on the way home today. On 14th street a girl in a red velvet Cooper rolled up next to us, waved and rolled her window down. Said she was jealous that I had been to the Dragon. I told her to join us every May, and gave her the club name. She said she'll bring her parents who have a MINI and live in Atlanta, then the light changed.

     

    Then I was on 395 S and saw a bright red Countryman catching up on the left. I had a funny feeling about him. It was like he was stalking me, so I looked and he got all happy and waved FIRST!!!! I waved back, as he passed I saw the plate

    LOL... That was me and my Pure Red Countryman. I been visiting the forums here off and on since I moved here in February. (Found you all from being on NAM) I had a feeling that was going be TIGGER; with the tag, the color and the flames.

     

    Not too mention I must have thrown a dozen or more waves in the last couple weeks at other Minis and haven't had anyone even look my way! So yeah, I dropped the tinted window and had my WAVE ready!
