Hello - I can go back and check my records, but in the meantime I have deduced that the water pump was replaced because there was a recall for it, and a check of the VIN shows no open recalls. I have added the VIN to my summary above.
Ok, I found my notes. The aux water pump was replaced by the previous owner in March 2012. HTH

Have you replaced or know if the Thermostat, timing chain, or water pump had be replaced by the previous owner? Thanks, nice looking MINI

Just turned over 80K. Year and flavor are in my signature.

Sadly I will not be able to join on Sunday.
BTW Shadow shouldn't you be counting yourself as one of the ten? or is it ten in addition to yourself?

Worked with Frank Rivera at PMoA last week and concur with Ali's assessment.
A minor vent: they topped off my engine oil but forgot to replace the oil cap (it was sitting on the engine) and didn't push the dipstick in all the way. Showed this loveliness to Mark Park (service manager lead) before driving away. Not Frank's fault.

i have used sea foam on all my vehicles and it works to remove carbon. there is a good youtube video on it.
What about the CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve cleaner? Someone else recommended it here a few months ago. My 2009 has about 75K miles and probably needs some cleaning out.

Would definitely like to join this one! Is it possible to see the route ahead of time?

I beeped and waved at three MINIs this morning. No return waves or beeps. Oh woe. Where are all the cool MINI drivers?

In a nutshell:
1. No route sheets.
2. No dry run.
3. Due to #2, you 'may' end up on a dirt/gravel road and/or get turned around momentarily.
That being said, #3 won't happen on this run. For one thing, I'm hoping to do a dry run of at least part of the route on Saturday (read: I want to try the donuts). And, there are several 'trusted' roads in the vicinity.
Thanks to both of you!

This is a great idea for an adventure run. Skyline drive is well traveled so won't need a pre-run and it's easy to find routes.
What does "adventure run" mean? adTHANKSvance

It seems that Cabrio drivers are likely to wave..... :wavey:
Guilty as charged! It's the attention-seeking.

Greetings, all! Coming out of lurk to ask if anyone here has had their precious MINI undergo the PMoA "Spa Treatment." I got a coupon for a $200 treatment discounted to $160. Is it worth it? Not? Meh? Thanks in advance for your time and input!
