"I guess you could call this the "second annual" TINT and DETAIL party!!!
Our local Tint Expert Carlos Gordillo is making another special appearance to tint our wonderful MINIs and Jeremy Curcio will be simultaneously detailing cars!! Anyone and everyone is welcome to stop by to kick tires, hang out and enjoy MINI talk (RSVP and bring your lawn chair).
Many of you know Carlos has done more MINIs then anyone in the area and for this event he is offering pricing as follows with an assortment of film percentages to chose from:
Hardtop $120
Clubman $130
Countryman $150
Sunroof $25
Windshield $10
Tint removal $40 + 30min added to tint time (please book an early spot)
Jeremy has been detailing cars for the past 8 years and uses only quality Prima Car Care products. Jeremy's pricing for this event will include the following items:
Hand wash Wax Polish Interior Vacuum Leather Treatment
Window Cleaner Trim wipe down
Detail pricing as follows:
Coupe / Roadster / Hardtop / Convertible - $75
Countryman / Paceman / Clubman / Others - $85
This years event will be 3 DAYS!! Yes 3 DAYS OF TINTING and DETAILING!!! Friday, March 14th - Sunday, March 17th, all day starting @ 10am and ending at 5pm
A cookout will be provided by myself (MDSBrain) and Kim (KROLYAT).
Donations will be collected to help defer the cost of this site (meetup) or promotional gear (spotter cards) for the club. Please help us keep the cost of this site from being a burden and give generously. In exchange you get free FOOD!
Carlos and Jeremy can both accommodate 4 cars a day. You can RSVP for time slots in the comments and Kim or I will keep the details section updated as needed.
Please use the RSVP button and answer the questions to help us determine how much food to buy and what services you would like (if any).

What: Mach V Winter Dyno Night 2013

Details:
If you haven't seen us advertise this before, dyno day (okay, this event is a dyno NIGHT) offers the chance to get a baseline or updated dyno numbers on your car for a smaller fee than on normal workdays. Cost is $75 for a slot, $25 additional for air/fuel analysis. (Normal price is $100 and $35 for a/f.) Slots are 40 minutes, which is usually enough for 3-4 pulls. (Actually more, if you want...)
It's a great social educational event, too, as lots of people come to watch and compare notes. Feel free to stop in and hang out even if you're not dyno-ing.
If you're dyno-ing your car, you'll get a paper graph to take with you, and we can also email you your dyno data files, so you can store/analyze/post your results to your heart's content.
Please call (571) 434-8333 with your credit card in hand to reserve a slot. We'll just keep the card number in case you don't show up. You can pay however you want on the day of.

I overheard another DCMM member talking about that exact phenomenon. I think that it was the person who Craig helped install custom gauges before the MoCo MINI Picnic.
I have no explanation for you...but simply confirming from another source, what you described.

I dunno what the deal is lately, but while I was tooling around yesterday, I passed a NC Motorcycle club that had stopped 2 rest at a gas station. 1 of the guys looked up, saw me & Scoopie, & yelled out a hearty 'Heyyy, Baby!' along w/a big wave & smile, & the rest of the gang followed suit! Scoopie's been gettin' lots of love from the biker community, that's 4 sure!
I'm sure Scoopie had something to do with it....BUT sounds like the driver gets credit, too!
