Interesting on the walnut blasting, can't believe I haven't seen that before now. Do you know if they also run a chemical treatment for the rest of the engine, or just clean valves?

I'm assuming my '13 Justa with 60k miles could use it? What kind of cleaning do they do; the HHO treatment or do they just run seafoam?

My wife's '06 Mazda 3 with >120k miles definitely could use some love too!

Sidenote - I'm not currently a full member as I ended up letting it expire, is that fine to join in on the cleaning party?

I know this is an old thread, and there's a lot of helpful info...but would anyone who has treated an R53 with seafoam be available to help me out this weekend? (6/7/13 - 6/9/13) I have the pourable seafoam, I got a little while ago, but I haven't gotten brave enough to wing-it myself. I'd be willing to help out others in the future after I see how it's done. I'm in the Burke/Fairfax area if that helps. My baby (2005 MCS) would be very appreciative as well!

Craig was telling me that the DIY garage was a great place to do it, since there is a chance you can throw a code while clearing out the carbon and they have a code scanner. Did you find this to be a common issue when you used it?

[Air Filter Housing]

Hello all!

 

I got a new air filter for Jess, and put it in just fine...The only problem was the "Genius" that changed the air filter last on her sort of stripped the right bolt/screw that secures it. It seems to tighten just enough to create a seal, but I don't like having it that way.

 

Would anyone know a good place to find a replacement, that is a reasonable price?
