  1. With a little research in cars that have the same lug pattern, you can usually find the tire at a "pick and pull" or other junk yard for less than $20. I got one that was never used. In my S Clubman, the nut is still in the boot to mount it. The pin and wing nut from a "justa" clubman is only about $11 from a MINI parts location. Of course with other models, some kind of bag is going to be needed.

  2. Hey, just a point to think about. I don't have anything against U-Haul as they are merely providing a service, but Curt hitches may want to be avoided as they are a dishonest company profiting off the hard work and design efforts of the MINI loving company Mini-Do-More. They have stolen the designs for all their MINI hitches from these guys. Fortunately, Mini-Do-More's prices are comparable. I say supporting a small Mini friendly business is much better than a dishonest company only out for a buck anyday, even if it costs $10-20 more!

  3. A better way than pouring it in but not spending the money on that system is to get Seafoam in the spray version. Slide the tube in the inlet air tubing between the inner cooler and the engine. Run the car up to around 1000 RPM and hold it there while spraying it for half the can. Then shut down, wait 10-20 min, fire it up, and run the piss out of it. However in a non-S, you can tuck it in where the intake tubing connects to the Mass air flow sensor. Also on a first gen, the engines are not direct injected, so pouring it in tank is still more effective than in 2nd gen.

  4. In the pre-drive, I found a basic timeline for the entire drive up from Hampton. It is all posted on HRMINI.COM. But as Ali stated, we should cross I-95 around 12:30. Otherwise we will be at the Anna Cabana about 1:15.
