  1. All,

It is a really bittersweet day for me as it was my last day with my MINI. We had a great run and I will miss Wolfgang dearly. That said, I couldn't be happier that Wolfie is being adopted by a really cool couple and staying in the DCMM and Miniac family! Congrats, TATRAT! I really hope you enjoy! I will have peace of mind knowing that he'll be running free again like he was meant to be! Godspeed!

(With any luck, I'll be back in the MINI community again someday soon with another MINI )

@Haemish: Sorry, buddy. The cover went with the car :)

@Brian: Haha...just give me a ride in that Jeep one of these days! By the way, I have a photo of us at MINI United that I want to give a copy of to you.

  2. I still hope to find a good Owner and Miniac to adopt my MINI so it'll be taken good care of. I'd hate for it to goto a dealership or chop shop after taken such good care of it for so long. I've reduced the price significantly to $11,000 to hopefully reignite any interest. You'd be getting a loaded JCW with under 10k miles in mint condition!

Please PM for questions and contact information. Thank you! :top:

  3. Unfortunately, for me, I have to let go of my baby. But, it really has been babied with only 9,700 miles and a single owner (some of you may remember me from the old DCMM days). Astro Black with a silver roof. With many tasteful, high-end mods, it is ready for daily driving, serious twisties or even track/auto-x if you so choose. This is the perfect car for an enthusiast who recognizes a superb deal. Prefer local-ish buyer and PayPal, Venmo, or cashiers check.$11,000

  4. Hey Laura! LOL....when I saw the Cricket license plate it put a big smile on my face! It was kind of dark already at the time so I was worried that you might not recognize me. Was funny when you had the annoyed look at first when I honked

  5. A coworker of mine recently asked me if I had heard about any issues with R56's just dying out right. His R56 died while driving on the highway and could not be revived. Apparently, his service advisor told him that the problem was with the timing chain and that there is currently a recall on them. Luckily for him, they are replacing his entire engine.

I did a bit of research on NAM and apparently the timing chain has been a problematic item, mainly due to it making the car sound like a diesel with a cold engine. I do not own an R56, so can't personally comment, but thought it might be useful information to you new gen owners.
