UPDATE: Though the winter weather did not effect the dc metro area, there was snow in the area we would be driving on the southwest portion of our route. Due to many of these roads being 600 series roads, they often are cleared by the sun. As we are unable to inspect the route prior to Saturday and temperatures remaining below freeze with the opportunity for a thaw and refreeze Friday into Saturday morning we will be postponing the drive.
