Blue Ridge Parkway Tour If you have never traversed the Blue Ridge Parkway, especially in your MINI, this is a fantastic opportunity to do so. The Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club has organized this event annually for 10 years! Dates: Thursday, June 14 - Sunday, June 17, 2018 Please Note: See details for the Great Ice Cream Jog event to get "to" Waynesboro, VA on Thursday, June 14th Link: Great Ice Cream Jog with Skyline Drive Details (from the Tar Heel site - which also has specifics about driving groups, hotels, what to bring, etc.) Link:Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club Blue Ridge Parkway This year's Blue Ridge Parkway Tour, the 10th annual running (WOW, 10 years and still twisting!), will start at the northern terminus of the BRP, near Waynesboro, VA. The Tour will kick off with a Welcome get-together meal on Thursday evening. Early Friday morning, we'll break up into our three groups, heading south stopping at various overlooks and points of interest along the way. Our first overnight stop will be Friday evening in Jefferson, NC. The second overnight stop will be in Hendersonville, NC (south of Asheville) on Saturday evening. Sunday morning we'll hit the BRP for the final leg to the southern terminus of the BRP in the Cherokee, NC area. That should be about lunch time and everyone will go their separate ways with a ton of memories and stories!! Great Ice Cream Jog with Skyline Drive (4th Annual - Now Ice Cream in FOUR States in one day!) Thursday, June 14, 2018 Note: There are no designated free Skyline Drive days this summer, this event will be running to co-ordinate with the Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club's Blue Ridge Parkway Tour. Feel free to participate on the Ice Cream Jog only, though if you have never done the Blue Ridge Parkway Tour, this would be a great opportunity. * The date/timing of the 2018 TriState Ice Cream Jog is to allow us to finish up in Waynesboro, VA in time for dinner -- joining the Tar Heel MINI participants of The Blue Ridge Parkway Tour -- who will depart on Friday, June 15 to spend 3 days driving the Blue Ridge Parkway from End to End!
