The Washington DC region (WDCR) SCCA has offered to host a car corral for us at the next Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series (MARRS) event at Summi t Point\, WV on 25 July.\n\n\n\n When: 25 July 2021\, arrive at the track at 9am\n\n\n\n Where: Summit Point Motorsport Park\, 201 Motorsports Park Cir\, Summit Point\, WV 25446\n\n\n\n What is a Car Carrol consist of?\n\ n\n\n -          Free Admission to the Days racing.\n\n\ n\n -          Reserved Corral Area with parking and seating\ n\n\n\n -          Water\, Snacks\, &\; Food\n\n\n\n -          Pace car led ride around laps IN YOUR MINI ON TRACK!!  (First 25 registered have priority with additional spots \"as space/time permits\")\n\n\n\n -          Group photo opportunities on front straight\n\n\n\n -          Access to the paddock\, and opportun ity see some of the cars and talk to the drivers about them (Yes\, there a re some MINIs)\n\n\n\n Come out and experience some wheel-to-wheel racing\ , talk to the people that race in a series well with in your reach.\n\n\n\ n Do not miss this event!! Whether you just enjoy hanging out with the MIN I community\, watching racing\, or you compete in time events and interest ed in taking that next step there is something for everyone.\n\n\n\n We al so will have a drive to the event where we will enjoy a few twisties with both VA and Maryland pickup points (which ever works best for you). Please sign up for the drive below.\n\n\n\n UPDATED information on the event bel ow:\n\n\n\n Arriving:\n\n\n\n 1)      For those joining the run\, I w ill coordinate everything at the gate just follow the MINI in front of you .\n\n\n\n 2)      If you are arriving separately\, tell the gate work er you are with the SCCA MINI Car Corral. \n\n\n\n a)      Any issue s\, have them contact Bob Crawford (race chair)\, Chris Doherty\, or Scott Merker.\n\n\n\n 3)      You will be asked to sign the general waiver at the gate\, and given a wrist band (don't lose it!)\n\n\n\n 4)       The car corral will be located directly across from the main entrance t o the track.  There will be large banners and a popup setup denoting the area.  \n\n\n\n (a)    Chris will be wearing a BRIGHT GREEN polo shi rt.  He will be hard to miss.\n\n\n\n 5)      Waivers - Chris will e nsure everyone has signed the SCCA waiver in the morning\, and we may prov ide an additional wrist band for the track touring laps.\n\n\n\n 6)       I've attached a map of the track to indicate the main gate and the Car Corral location.\n\n\n\n During the event:\n\n\n\n 1.      Specta ting: You are free to visit any spectator areas or grandstands within the track confines.  The outer parts of the track is a great place to watch t he racing\, and the Car Corral will be in a prime location.\n\n\n\n a.       I strongly encourage everyone to bring folding chairs\, umbrell as\, etc.  If bringing canopies\, make sure you have a way to secure them down if it is windy.  Use best judgement here.\n\n\n\n b.      We a re still confirming if the group will have Paddock access while racing is going on.  This is TBD.\n\n\n\n 2.      Technical: We've asked one o f our racers (Scott Luttrell) to bring his STU race car MINI by the Corral during the day.  Assuming it's running\, he'll be stopping by!\n\n\n\n 3 .      A live audio broadcast from the announcing booth will be on FM 88.7\n\n\n\n Lunch Track Touring laps:\n\n\n\n 1.      Lunch laps: L unch time laps are limited to 25 and first come first served.  Chris will shuttle everyone to paddock and grid.\n\n\n\n 2.      We expect this will happen between 11:45 and 12:30\, depending on track cleanup and race group schedules.  This could be earlier or later.  \n\n\n\n 3.       Lunch laps will follow the Track Tour rules here.\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n Food &\;
