ChapterFest is just aroun d the corner and it is shaping up to be our best event thus far. This yea r\, ChapterFest will be held at Bowie Baysox Stadium on Saturday\, Octobe r 30th. Please visit <\;a href=\"http://www.chapterfest.com/\" rel=\"ex ternal nofollow\">\;www.chapterfest.com<\;/a>\; for detailed informa tion on each of the events and instructions on how you can register whethe r you are coming to hang-out or participating in events.<\;/p>\;\n<\ ;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\;We are <\;s trong>\;<\;span style=\"text-decoration:underline\;\">\;<\;span st yle=\"color:#FF0000\;\">\;strongly encouraging<\;/span>\;<\;/span& gt\;<\;/strong>\; everyone to pre-register\, this includes general adm ission. With the number of people we are expecting\, pre-registration wil l help expedite the check-in line. Pre-registered Autox participants will share a dedicated check-in lane with Street Survival. When you visit the ChapterFest site\, click “ChapterFest Registration” to register for g eneral admission or any additional events. I know some people hate regist ering for events\, but this is the easiest way for us to manage a crowd th is large for this type of event.<\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n& lt\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\;The issue we had last year with space due to the trailers parked on the lot will not be an issue this year. We will have use of the entire lot area and have parking for over 1000+ cars . <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n< \;p>\;ChapterFest is the BMWCCA National Capital Chapter’s premier cel ebration for all car enthusiasts. In 2008\, more than 250 people attended and in 2009\, attendance doubled to more than 500. Both years attracted BM W CCA members and non-members from all over the east coast\, with folks co ming from as far north as New Jersey and as far south as North Carolina. T his year\, we hope to welcome more than 1\,000 BMWCCA members and enthusia sts!<\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n&l t\;p>\;ChapterFest 2010 will encompass everything we do as a chapter. We will\, of course\, have Autocross. BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE!! <\;/p& gt\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; & lt\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\;<\;/p>\;\n<\;ul>\;<\;li>\;The roads’ newest and youngest drivers will participate in our nationally recognized Tire Rack Street Survival School for teenage drivers.<\;br />\;<\;/ li>\;\n<\;li>\;Our karting program will have a karting course to fee d your inner speed demon.<\;br />\;<\;/li>\;\n<\;li>\;A Concou rs d’ Elegance will display some of the cleanest cars you’ll ever see. <\;br />\;<\;/li>\;\n<\;li>\;There will also be detailing tech sessions\, tech sessions for general items and for Dinan products. We wi ll also have a rim repair and a PDR company onsite to handle your wheel an d ding issues.<\;br />\;<\;/li>\;\n<\;li>\;In addition\, thank s to BendPak donating the use of four 4-post lifts\, the DIY and Ladies’ DIY committees will each run DIYs and tech sessions throughout the day.&l t\;br />\;<\;/li>\;\n<\;li>\;After ChapterFest\, BendPak is sell ing the 4-post car lifts at a discounted price. There will be cover ed seating for use throughout the day as well as plenty of beverages throu ghout the venue.<\;br />\;<\;/li>\;\n<\;li>\;Lastly\, in respo nse to our female attendees\, we will have dedicated men and women bathroo m facilities with flushable toilets and sinks for hand washing. We will a lso have handicap accessible facilities.<\;br />\;<\;/li>\;\n<\; /ul>\;<\;p>\;<\;/p>\;\n<\;p>\; <\;strong>\;General Admi ssion is $16 with pre-registration.
